About this event

  • Event lasts 7 hours

These lectures are delivered in commemoration of our founding Administrative Bishop Rev Dr Oliver Augustus Lyseight and provide opportunities for newer NTCG generations to become familiar with the Church’s history, thus securing an ongoing legacy. Opportunities for critical theological reflections and submissions of socials issues for conversations and thoughts are presented by speakers from a variety of backgrounds, both nationally and internationally, representing different denominations, such as Professor Robert Beckford (British Theologian), Professor Stephen Land (American Theologian), and Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin, QHC (Anglican), Rev Dr Grace Bally-Balogun, Dr Charlotte Johnson, Rev Dr Garrick Wilson (British/NTCG emerging Theologians and academics) and Rev Dr Deirdre Brower LATZ (Principal and Senior Lecturer in Pastoral and Social Theology).

LTC invites our diverse local, national, and global audience to join us on multiple platforms Online and In-person as we explore the theme of Justice - In search of a better future. Our selected array of theologians, college principals and emerging academics to be announced will invite us to wisely consider topics covering the level of engagement in matters to do with social concerns for the poor, speaking truth to power on behalf of oppressed people and advocacy for the common good of all creation. The trajectory for the future – This will include capturing heritage, preserving the legacy of history, and encouraging scholarship to inspire the next generation for engagement and sustainability.
