Inspire: Switching to Electric with Ford

By 2030 no more petrol or diesel–only cars and vans will be sold in the UK, and this has prompted us all to look into the Electric Vehicle (EV) alternatives that are currently on the market.

We will be discussing:

Ford is on a journey to electrify its entire car and van range ahead of the UK’s 2030 deadline, ending petrol and diesel-only sales with a number of models already converted to all-Electric and a commitment for a further seven new EVs by 2024.

Electrifying their vehicle range enables drivers to be in control of and connected to their vehicles even when they are not in them via a special app which can help van fleets run more efficiently and productively by monitoring vehicle health and scheduling maintenance ahead of any issues arising.

Ford Pro is a new team advising business customers on charging, service, telematics and fleet intelligence. As businesses contemplate switching to EVs, this back-up is key – reflecting that going EV is more than a vehicle purchase, and can involve re-modelling other areas of fleet management to realise potential reduced running costs.
