Local author Rachel Knowles talks about Jane Austen, the celebrated author of Pride and Prejudice, who was born 250 years ago this December. Rachel shares about Austen’s life and how reading Austen’s works gave her a lifelong love of the Regency and inspired her own writing.

Rachel Knowles loves happy endings, Jane Austen and all things Regency. She has published seven faith-based Regency romances, rich in historical detail, and shares her research on her website, RegencyHistory.net, which she runs with her husband, Andrew. She is the author of What Regency Women Did For Us—12 brief biographies of inspirational Regency women, including Jane Austen.
