The festival shines a spotlight on budding artists, designers, writers, musicians and more from Birmingham City University, as the institution opens its doors to the people of the city and the wider community.
Featuring a diverse range of events, including music and literature performances, fashion, theatre, art, media and technology exhibitions, Inspired will demonstrate the high-level skills and transformative experiences that shape and define our students and graduates.
Our graduate shows - are the culmination of the hard work, creativity and progression in our Faculty of Art, Design and Media. We celebrate the innovative work of our students, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their inventive, fresh ideas to audiences. Look out for exhibitions by our art, jewellery, fashion, media, architecture and visual communication students on our campuses.

On Saturday 10 June, Birmingham City University will throw open its doors to families for an action-packed day of free and fun-filled events and activities for all ages.
From photography to fashion, and architecture to TV broadcasting, there will be lots for families to do, experience and be inspired by at our multi-million pound City Centre Campus, situated in the heart of Birmingham’s Eastside.
Part of the University’s annual Inspired Festival, this event will also showcase the talent and creativity of our Arts, Design and Media students, as well as give visitors the chance to meet with our world-class academics, who are training the next generation of creative professionals.
Activities will include* drop in, make-and-take sessions, family portrait experience, radio broadcasting workshops, exhibitions, make a TV show, jewellery making, guided tours, textile and embroidery workshops, historical object handling, green screen experience, science busking, street food stalls** and much, much more!
