Inspiring the Next Generation: An Alumni event for Royal Holloway Physics students with talks from Physics graduates and postgraduates
What inspired you to study Physics? Did you know someone who had a Physics degree or post graduate degree who inspired you? Come along and hear directly from past students how their physics studies have helped them in their career.
On the occasion of the first Physics Alumni Network event, Fanoula Ziouzia, Head of Products at Energy Saving Trust, talks about her journey from being a postgraduate at Royal Holloway University towards being responsible for the delivery of energy efficiency products and services. Denis Naberezhnykh, Head of ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) at Transport Research Laboratory will share his path starting in ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems), and Bill Thisdell, self-make videographer will complement this trio describing his passion for communication as an alternative path. The talks will cover challenges, successes, and decisions taken during their careers which can be attributed, or even contributed to by a Physics degree. The event is open to all current graduates and postgraduates as well as academic staff.
Weather permitting, after the talks we will be joined by other Alumni to share their experiences over some light refreshments and food in the recently developed Boiler House courtyard.
