Inspiring Women Reflect: Women in Media

Lisa Millar and Jacquelin Magnay

in conversation with The Hon. Ros Kelly AO

Join us in conversation with two women who have excelled in the world of media. These dynamic women will discuss the challenges they've faced and overcome as well as the rewards of working in the media industry.

Registered attendees are warmly invited to join the speakers at a reception to continue the conversations.

The Inspiring Women Reflect series is a joint initiative between the Australia-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies, Telstra and Westpac, which aims to empower women in the workplace and beyond.

Lisa Millar
is an Australian Walkley Award winning journalist for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). She started a cadetship with the Gympie Times in 1988. She joined the ABC as the north Queensland reporter in Townsville, before moving to Canberra and the federal press gallery. She has completed two stints as a North America correspondent in Washington and is now the ABC's London bureau chief.


Jacquelin Magnay is the European Correspondent for The Australian, based in London and covering all manner of big stories across political, business, Royals and security issues. She is a George Munster and Walkley Award winning journalist with senior media roles in Australian and British newspapers. Before joining The Australian in 2013 she was the UK Telegraph’s Olympics Editor.
