A hands on workshop giving real examples of how social media can be used to achieve great business outcomes, focussing in the second half, on the use of Instagram for small businesses

Social media is an exciting place to be if you know what you are doing. We will be inspired by business owners who are already using social media successfully.

We all know that it is vital to be using strong visuals and Instagram thrives on quality imagery. Instagram is increasing in popularity with businesses with the introduction of business profiles, analytics and Instagram stories. We will show you how to use Instagram as a business and how to reach a wider audience. Get tips on what hashtags to be using and how to engage with other accounts.

10.45am Arrival – tea and coffee

11.00am Panel of 5 business owners talk about how they have used social media within their businesses to great effect. Examples include: Instagram; Facebook; Linkedin; Twitter and Youtube

12pm Sandwich lunch

12.30 to 2pm Nina Goodwin, IT Trainer from Cosmic will deliver an interactive session on using Instagram for business

Bini Ludlow
Bini set up Sweet Cumin with a budget of £200. With 15 years teaching experience and following compliments from a friend, Bini put her large country kitchen to good use and set up an Indian cookery school, Sweet Cumin. Now with an award winning ready meal range under her belt, Bini will share her experience with the power of Twitter and how this changed her business. Bini has appeared on numerous high-profile TV and Radio shows (BBC, ITV and C4) as well as featuring in local and national press (The Guardian, Delicious Magazine, Crumbs Magazine). Bini’s longstanding collaboration with Thatchers Cider (pairing curries with ciders) has been rolled out across the UK, Australia and the US. Bini is also a member of the National Women in Enterprise Taskforce for the FSB where she holds events to champion and support women and men in the South West of England.

Nina Goodwin, IT Trainer from Cosmic

Nina is an experienced IT trainer with a huge passion for helping businesses learn and improve their digital skill sets. Nina has eight years’ experience delivering technical and IT training. She loves to support learners, through presentations, demonstrations, workshops, training and helping personal development. When Nina is not immersed in digital she enjoys cooking and indulging in her love for seeing and exploring new places.

Natasha Musson is a Stylist and Wardrobe Consultant.


A former BBC Producer, Natasha has been styling women for 8 years. Her skills in event production, creative styling and her passion for clothes are second-to-none. Known for her ability to merge vintage and modern to create on-trend looks, her sense of fun and passion for fashion are infectious. Natasha will explain how she uses Instagram Stories for her business.
