Instagram achieves the highest level of engagement of all the social media platforms, and an engaged audience is a loyal audience.

Instagram is growing exponentially compared to other social media platforms and has an increasingly influencial role to play in the purchase decision journey for your customers.

More than a workshop

This Instagram workshop is interactive, learning by doing, so that what you take away has already been put into practice. You will get a set of notes sent to you to use to refresh your memory and I always offer time for a call afterwards to pick up any loose ends.

The Power of the Hashtag

Having a beautiful photo is just the beginning.

You now need your audience to see it and that is where the power of the hashtag comes into play. In this workshop you will discover what hashtags you should be using and how to use them strategically to get in front of your audience.

Setting a clear objective

To get the most from any social media platform you need to be clear on why you are doing and what objectives you set for yourself. In this workshop we will consider how to achieve those objectives using Instagram and whether you are achieving them by diving into insights and other tools you can use to measure your performance.

Tell a story

Stories are relatively new to Instagram but are very valuable to build your brand. You will learn how to post stories but also why you should be using them.

Paid advertising

From time to time you may want to push your marketing messages out and that's where paid advertsing comes in. We will look at what good advertsing looks like and how it can help you achieve your goals.


At the end of the workshop you will have the knowledge to start using Instagram tactically and strategically to grow your brand and build an audience.

Please note

For this to be of most value to you, please make sure you already have an Instagram account created and set up. Don't worry if you haven't really used it yet, we just want to make sure we aren't using up your time creating it, when we could be optimising it and using it to start your marketing.

In order to get the most from this session, you will need to bring your phone or ipad with you.

What is the refund policy?

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please advise the organiser by email: alison@retailpost.co.uk at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Shorter notice cancellation may be refunded or deferred to subsequent workshops at the organiser's discretion. A 'no show' will not be refunded or deferred if no contact has been made prior to the start of the workshop.
