Institute of Fundraising Consultants SIG AGM and Free Seminar - Marketing on a Shoestring
We are pleased to invite you to our AGM and a free seminar, which will help you to deliver successful marketing campaigns on a shoestring.
The AGM notice can be found at: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0WcNp1Z5oR8QUU0ZUdaTS1aOXc.
There are currently a number of vacancies on the committee. If you would like to stand for election at the AGM, or just find out more about becoming a committee member, please contact Sue Hind Woodward, Consultant’s Group Chair (email: email@example.com Tel: 07855 398 268).
The Marketing on a Shoestring seminar will be presented by Jackie Barrie, who has been a professional copywriter for over 30 years. She specialises in writing without waffle, especially for websites, blogs, articles and social media updates. She also trains people how to write their own copy.
In this session, you will learn tips, tricks and techniques to help your site get found in search engines. You’ll also discover how to get site visitors to take the action you want them to take. And you’ll discover how and why to use the various social media platforms for maximum benefit.
Jackie would like attendees to send a link to their websites (to firstname.lastname@example.org by 18 October) in order to pick out some best practice examples. To hear more about what Jackie will deliver at this seminar please view this short video: https://youtu.be/I5AujmW_L8Q.
You will also hear from two of our committee members who have recently been through the process of redesigning their websites: 1) Bill King, UK Director of IFC, a large global consultancy and 2) Alex Blake, Director of KEDA Consulting, a consultancy that was only established less than two years ago.
There will be further networking opportunities at the Punch Tavern (99 Fleet Street, EC4Y 1DE) from 5pm to 7pm.
The AGM and seminar will both be free to attend but you must register through eventbrite and pay a booking deposit, which will be refunded to you after the event as long as you attend. If you book a place but do not attend, you will lose your booking deposit.
