Event description

Join us for the Institute of Fundraising Cymru Conference 2019

Our theme this year is The Impactful Fundraiser: Your Skills, Your Career and You!

Fundraising has taken a big hit over the past few years but it’s time for us to recharge those batteries. This is a great profession, one which we should all be proud to be in. It’s time to shake up what we do and take time to focus on smashing those goals.

At this year’s conference we want to empower you to go back to the office with a fresh look. The day will be packed with sessions lead by motivational speakers from the third sector who will inspire and re-energise your fundraising career.

The day

This will be the first IoF Cymru Conference for quite some time, and is a chance for fundraisers in Wales to meet sector leaders, fellow fundraising professionals, and develop skills and knowledge.

Our speakers from across the sector deliver a diverse and engaging range of workshops and case studies. Not only do we pack the day with as many learning opportunities as possible, but there are plenty of social and networking opportunities as well.

The event brings together a mix of experience from the charity sector, and engages attendees through multiple sessions and workshops throughout the day.

Sessions will be based on a broad range of themes including something for everyone - trusts, corporate, events, community, sole fundundraisers, major donors, volunteering, leadership, supporter jounreys, digital....and more!!

Plenary Speaker – Na'eem Raza

Na'eem has over 20 years experience working with some of the biggest charities in the sector including Barnardos, Prince's Trust and National Zakat Foundation.

Na'eem's work has led him to some of the most dangerous places in the world, including war-torn Syria, earthquake zones in Pakistan and conflict ridden Somalia. Undaunted by hard work and willing to go the distance when it matters, Na'eem participated in 4 marathons across London, Morocco and Turkey and clocked up 3,500 miles in a gruelling 45 day Scotland to Syria bike ride in order to raise funds for widows, orphans and young people in need.

Plenary Speaker – Rob Woods

Rob is an award-winning trainer and the author of several fundraising books including The Fundraiser Who Wanted More. As an independent trainer and coach for 15 years, he has helped more than 12,000 fundraisers, directors and trustees. His clients include the Heart of Kent Hospice, Oxford University and UNICEF UK.

Workshop Sessions

During the day there will be 3 break-out workshop sessions. During the check-out process, you will need to choose which workshop you would like to book on to for each session. *Please note that there is limited capacity for these sessions so please book early to avoid disappointment*
