We will use zoom video calling to run a weekly public knitting circle online!
Bring your own knitting or textiles project to these friendly hangouts, which are for all abilities from complete beginners to seasoned pros. We will provide a space to chat, swap knitting tips and know-how, and create a peaceful hour-long respite from the news and current events. If you have knitting, crotchet or sewing equipment that you've been wanting to use at home but find it difficult to get started, this is the session for you!
NOTE: If places on this knitting circle become fully booked put your name on the event waiting list. We will then try to organise another knitting circle for everyone on the waiting list.
On the use of Zoom: We are using Zoom as a third party in order to enable our online knitting circles but please be aware that there are concerns about Zoom's approach to privacy. Users of Zoom should ensure that they have read and understand Zoom’s privacy policy. In any case, we recommend using the web-based version of Zoom rather than using the app, which allows greater control of the information shared with the provider. We will keep looking into our use of Zoom for online events as well as weighing up other video calling options.
