Event Information
About this event
The Centre for HealthTech Innovation (CfHI) is a joint research initiative between the University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to accelerate the development and adoption of new health technologies. To foster wider collaborations across our HealthTech community, the Centre is holding a series of workshops in January and February 2022 aligned to its four Grand Challenges.
These workshops are aimed at clinicians, scientists, allied health professionals, and the wider HealthTech community.
The fourth workshop will address the Grand Challenge: Integrated an inclusive care through smart health
Date: Friday 4 February 2022
Time: 09:30 – 13:30
Venue: Virtual event – details to be forwarded to registrants
Exemplar topic areas:
Smarter community-based health & care – using real-time information to support self-management of health and wellbeing, and to facilitate timely interventions where people live. Smarter community services can reduce hospitalisation need and time and promote more independent living in the elderly and patients living with multi-morbidity. Innovations need to consider the existing digital divide in access to technology and digital literacy to avoid fuelling health inequality.
Smart services for the smart hospital – optimising care through effective diagnosis, patient-specific treatment planning and outcome prediction, and evidence-based interventions. Smarter hospitals will contribute to more effective and transparent medical decision making, rationalise and reduce care costs, and delivery better overall experience to patients and their families.
