Event description

Description

ACJ welcomes you to attend our third thought-provoking seminar in one of the most interesting health and care systems, Manchester, to explore the delivery of integrated care with influential leaders driving reforms across the country.

Join our keynote speaker, Chief Executive of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Jim Mackey, as he addresses the state and direction of integrated care in England. Jim will be joined by a host of health and care leaders, including; Professor James Kingsland, President of the National Association of Primary Care, Dr Hakim Yadi, Chief Executive of Northern Health Science Alliance and Gerard Hanratty, Partner at Browne Jacobson LLP, to discuss the critical issues and developments in the sector today. ACJ seminars offer attendees an exclusive insight to the leading developments in integrated care, as well as the opportunity to engage with other leading stakeholders keen to make their ideas and concerns known at this critical time of health service reform.

  • How far has integrated care progressed in England since the publication of STP plans?

  • How can we improve leadership, relationships and workplace culture in health and care?

  • What does the future look like for prevention and addressing health inequalities in England?

  • What are the barriers to integration and how can they be overcome?

  • How do local government, housing and voluntary organisations fit into the debate?

In the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape nationally, it is more important than ever that these questions are addressed with local populations in mind.

Bringing together leaders in integrated care from across England, ACJ seminars offer attendees an exclusive insight into the leading developments in integrated care, as well as the opportunity to engage with other stakeholders keen to make their ideas and views known at this critical time of health service reform. Our headline partner for this event is Browne Jacobson LLP.

Jim Mackey returned to his substantive role as Chief Executive of the Trust in November 2017, a post he previously held for ten years. He was welcomed back after completing a two year secondment in a national role as Chief Executive of the NHS Improvement.

Jim successfully oversaw the creation of NHS Improvement, an organisation that brought together the Regulators Monitor and the Trust Development Authority. Responsible for overseeing NHS Trusts, NHS Improvement supports providers to ensure patients are given consistently safe, high quality compassionate care within local health systems that are financially sustainable.

Previous to his time at Northumbria Healthcare, Jim held a number of senior roles with the NHS, the Regional Office of the Department of Health in Northern and Yorkshire and, prior to that, worked in Local Government.
