Event description

Description

A Connected Procurement & Comissioning Networking event:

Integrated Procurement: supporting contract management

What is this event about?

In this event, we will be exploring integrated procurement to improve contract management in the local public sector. Specifically, we will look at shared service models and digital platforms that support the public sector to assist procurers and commissioners of goods and services to get the best monetary and social value from their supplier contracts, be compliant, and make smarter, more data-driven decisions.

There will also be time for delegates to reflect on, and discuss, their own organisation's contract and vendor management practices and to question the speakers to gain insights about the challenges, and benefits, of a more integrated approach to procurement and contract management.

These events are an opportunity for public sector officers, managers, and strategic leaders to learn, share, and network. Each quarter, we invite unique speakers to talk about different aspects of procurement and commissioning.

Who is on the agenda?

The agenda is still coming together; we have invited the following speakers:

About iNetwork's Connected Procurement Programme

This event is delivered to you as part of iNetwork's Connected procurement Programme. The NW region has had a strong public sector procurement network for many years however in line with pressures on the sector, resources to support the network’s activities have diminished.

Connected Procurement is an initiative to develop and grown the community of procurement professional in the North West region, to keep colleagues up to date on hot topics, changing legislation and opportunities and to create space to think through the challenges facing procurement professionals.

The YPO is helping ensure the viability of the network, working with colleagues in iNetwork.

The network is open to anyone who’s organisations are members of iNetwork, which includes almost all councils, NHS Police and Fire & Rescue organisations in the North West. A full list of members is available at www.i-network.org.uk.
