Speaker 1:

Title: Ingenuity House: Building Tour, focusing on BIM / CAFM integration

Content: Ingenuity House, a 12,000sqm highly sustainable building, is Interserve’s Regional HQ adjacent to Birmingham’s International Airport and Railway Station, which opened in 2018.

Ingenuity House was an opportunity for Interserve to showcase their knowledge of intelligent development, coordination and management of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle. Ingenuity House demonstrates all of the best practice Interserve have learned over the past few years and brings it into one place.

The building tour will take us through how BIM has played in key role in construction, handover, and also now into use and facilities management.

Speaker: Alex Mould: Interserve FoH Manager. Alex is the ideal individual to lead this building tour, as he is based out of Ingenuity House and primarily as he has been involved in the BIM-FM process through the recent handover and in-use phase of Ingenuity House. Alex understands the technicalities of how Interserve integrated BIM with the CAFM system and also how their BMS system is being utilised to manage building usage.

Speaker 2:

Title: Digital Delivery for FM

Content: One Eighty explain the challenges they’ve experienced to date and their lessons learnt. Over the past 3 years One Eighty have worked with a number of project teams to deliver BIM data into the operational FM environment. The presentation will concentrate on two main projects over this time period; Slough Borough Council where they delivered 3 existing leisure site refurbishments and one new build leisure centre and the Kajima Corporation where integration of Uniclass 2015 and other development was featured, Steve Owen will highlight some of the key areas needed to align AEC with O&M data, where some of the potential pitfalls occur and how to avoid them.

Speaker: Steve Owen – Managing Director at One Eighty. Steve has spent many years in FM delivery and the FM software sector before joining One Eighty as an FM consultant and MD. For the past 6 years One Eighty have been pioneering the education, development and delivery of FM solutions in a BIM environment with UK and international partners. Co Author of a new Good Practice Guide from IWFM on data preparation for FM systems, Steve is now focussing on Integrated Workplace Technology, Smart Buildings and Smart City projects in Japan and Singapore.

Parking will be available on site.
