BRIDGING GAPS, BUILDING FUTURES: INTEGRATING DISABILITY AND INCLUSION THROUGH ACADEMIC HEALTH SCIENCE PARTNERSHIPS

Welcome to our 2025 Annual Chief Academic Officer confernece in collaboration with Regional Health Area Dublin and Midlands. This years conference will explore the role of academic health sciences in driving innovation, research, and policy to ensure that integrated care systems are inclusive of marginalised populations, including people with disabilities and those experiencing social exclusion.

We will focus on the intersectionality between disability and inclusion health, reflect on gaps that prevent us from delivering comprehensive integrated care and to consider how an Academic Health Science System (AHSS) can be leveraged to identify through education research and innovation alternative approaches to the delivery of care. We will also consider the challenge of providing needs assessment at scale and the workforce of the future required to deliver this.
