Event Details

Intelligent Mobility (IM) provides an intersection between traditional transport and new products and services relating to digitisation, automation, mobile devices, open data, wireless communication, and the Internet of Things. According to research commissioned by the Transport Systems Catapult in 2014, the global Intelligent Mobility market is projected to grow from its current annual value of £140bn to just over £900bn a year by 2025.

Intelligent Mobility will also help the transport industry to address wider societal trends – including a growing and ageing global population, climate change, the rapid depletion of our traditional energy resources, and increasing urbanisation. IM offers the opportunity to significantly enhance the productivity of our existing transportation assets but, to meet these massive and multiple challenges, IM must work with a range of traditional transport providers in heavily regulated spaces.
