Join Sew Mrs Bee at Coda Music and Arts Trust for this exciting 2 Day workshop on Saturday 18th October and Saturday 1st November, where you will start your journey into the wonderful world of sewing by machine. If you have a sewing machine but don't know what to do with it - this class is perfect for you. Mrs Bee (Nancy) will guide you through the basics of sewing, from threading a needle to creating simple stitches. By the end of the two days you will have made a simple garment. Get ready to unleash your creativity and learn a new skill in a fun and supportive environment. Don't miss out on this opportunity to start your sewing journey!
This is a 2 day workshop and is intensive - we are fitting what would be 6 sessions into two days. Both days will start at 10:00 and end at 17:00 with an hour lunch break in the middle. The workshops will take place at Coda Music Arts Trust in their purpose built Art Studios.
This course is for the complete novice/beginner. Bring your sewing machine, any sewing equipment you have and oodles of enthusiasm!
The studio is very accessible with easy level access to the large carpark.
Ideally, you will bring your own machine, but if you do not have one we can loan one to you for the session. You will need to notify us prior to the sessions.
On the 18th October the Bramble Hill Cafe will be open for lunch, or you can bring a packed lunch. We have done a deal with the cafe for the 1st of November for them to provide a 'packed lunch' on the day for an additional cost (tbc)
2m of fabric and a paper pattern to fit you, are both included in the price.
Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided.
