Event description

Description

Improvising using masks is a form of improvisation originally taught by Keith Johnstoe. It is an exploration that allows you to go deeper into you inner creative genius.

You will be surprised to discover what is possible by using the power of full and trance masks. Masks allow us to experience new possibilities for self expression and creativity.

During the workshop, participants will move constantly between exercises without masks, with full masks and with trance masks allowing the creative flow to be maximized.

It is for improvisers, actors and creatives in general. All welcome to explore.

"Play touches and stimulates vitality, awakening the whole person – mind, body, intelligence and creativity." Viola Spolin.

For actors, masks can help them lose inhibitions of state and mind’Simone Tani.

Simone Tani graduated from Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris where he studied Theater, Clowning and Bouffon. Earlier, Simone studied improvisation at the school Verba Volant in Rome and with Keith Johnstone at Loose Moose theater in Calgary; clowning and physical comedy at Second City Theater in Chicago and in London with Mark Bell and Peta Lily (Dark clown); trance and full masks with Steve Jarand (Calgary), commedia dell'arte with Carlo Boso and Onda D'Urto Teatro in Rome.
