Intensive interaction and sensory-based approaches: using Responsive Commun...
Sun 2 April 2017, 09:30 – 12:30 BST
This event is for you if you are a parent, carer or professional who supports an autistic person.
The first part of the morning will focus on Responsive Communication - using body language to communicate with the person (Intensive Interaction) whilst using sensory-based approaches to address any sensory sensitivities they may have. After a tea break mid-morning, we will be looking at the sensory aspects of autism and how these can be addressed using Responsive Communication.
We very much look forward to seeing you on the day.
There will be a stall with books and DVDs available at a discount.
Doors will open at 9.30am for a 10am start. Tea, coffee, squash and buiscuits available from 9.30am until 10am, also in the interval from 11am to 11.30am.
This event and the project it forms part of are funded by the LEADER fund and the Big Lottery.
