This workshop on using Interactive Voting Tools is designed to develop your understanding of polling (clickers) and its potential uses. Covering both how and why to use the technology, the workshop will provide you with a deeper understanding of polling and how you might be able to use it to enhance the student experience in a variety of different settings. 

Topics include:

  • Why use Polling / Clickers in the classroom
  • General frameworks for thinking about activity design
  • Creating questions - tips, hints and examples (taxonomy)
  • Polling / Clickers Literature
  • How to use TurningPoint software with PPT
