Inclusive and compassionate Leadership: Session 1

Drawing from the work of Dr. Gemma Houldey and Dr. Addy Adelaine, this session will introduce the key concepts of inclusive and compassionate leadership. We will consider why inclusivity is central to strengthening leadership and effective aid practice and supporting the wellbeing of staff, and the challenges in shifting the organisational culture. Drawing from cutting edge research and practical examples from across the globe we will further discuss what needs to change and how this may be done.

Inclusive and compassionate Leadership: Session 2

10:45 - 11:30

An interactive workshop to explore your own leadership practice and the practice adopted by your organisation. In this session we will critically examine barriers and levers to change in order to apply key concepts of inclusive and compassionate leadership to your organisational context. This will be a highly interactive session, which requires participants to be open to new learning and a willingness to be self-reflective. Whilst participation within session 1 is not required, engagement in the prior session may support learning in the latter session.
