Overview

Join Andy Arthur (Threadinburgh.scot) for this journey into the river 'dirty' past

Andy Arthur is the founder of Threadinburgh, an online compendium of interesting local history stories of Edinburgh and Leith. The aim of Threadinburgh is to find, to record and to tell the stories of our local history that are less well known, that are misunderstood or are just plain forgotten about. These stories are all around us; lurking in memories, in old newspapers, in street names - anywhere - and with a little effort can be brought back to life. In this presentation Andy will focus on the creation of Edinburghs sewer network alongside the Water of Leith.
