Event description
Join us for a quiet reflective space with members of various faith communities across London. This space is open to all!

About this Event

On the 20th September 2019 the youth will again strike for climate. They are calling on everyone - adults, workers, community groups, trade unionists... to join them in this global strike for climate.

At 4pm, join us for a quiet reflective space along with members of various faith communities across London. This is a space open to all and we hope will provide a calming place for anyone who has been on strike on this day.

Prayers will be made by people in the Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions, and there will be an opportunity for anyone present to offer their own contribution - whether from a faith tradition or simply a poem, object or image that holds meaning for you in the face of the climate crisis.

If you can, please bring a jar to hold a candle (we will provide these), a prayer or poem to add to our space, and an openness to engaging in the faith traditions of London's diverse communities.

This event is being co-organised by members of the UK Student Climate Network and the Faith for the Climate Network, and is supported by Islamic Relief, Jews for XR, CAFOD, Christian Aid, Quakers in Britain, EcoSynagogue, Operation Noah, Tearfund, Ecosynagogue, Green Christian, Christian Climate Action, and more.
