This course is designed to support secondary teachers of MFL who are delivering a knowledge.

About this Event

This course is designed to support secondary teachers of MFL who are delivering a knowledge-

rich curriculum. It will look at the importance of interleaving and give models of curriculum plans and

lesson by lesson sequencing to ensure effective interleaving occurs to help to secure learning. It will

illustrate different types of high-leverage activities which encourage overlearning, leading to committing language to long term memory and automatization.

The tutor

Nina Torin is the subject specialist leader for MFL at Inspiration Trust. She has been teaching languages in secondary schools for over 17 years and is head of French at Cromer Academy. Nina is passionate about language teaching and the unique and crucial role teachers play in building future linguists.
