Biography Sharon AkersHaving taught Art and Design in schools and colleges for over 30 years, I am now working independently offering a wide range of art workshops.My classes (AkersArtClasses) are always geared towards exploration for all abilities. They are relaxed and informal with the aim that each student takes away at least one piece of artwork.Although sculpture and mixed media is my preferred medium for my own work, having taught art for so long, I can cater for a wide variety of techniques and materials.I often use the beautiful surrounding Chiltern Downs for my inspiration and enjoy walking, looking, photographing and collecting before creating artwork in the studio.
