Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session participants will be able to;

- Demonstrate the ability to identify changes in children and young people which may be indicative of difficulties impacting their emotional health and wellbeing

- Confidently approach and guide a conversation with children and young people to explore their emotional health and wellbeing

- Pull on practical resources with the purpose of building personal coping skills of children and young people

- Identify appropriate pathways for support and potential referral routes

Aimed At

Whole school staff, GPs, Paediatrics, Nurses, other health professionals with a basic understanding of children and young people’s emotional health and wellbeing.

Using discussion groups and the continuum of mental wellbeing to develop education staffs understanding of their role in supporting the mental wellbeing of learners.

Provide practical ideas through the use of the NAK model

Use of continuum to show levels of help required

Use real CAMHS referrals that have been rejected as part of role play.
