Will DRST provide the tools?

DRST will provide the chainsaws and large axes for each group. Bring your own billhooks and other hand tools.

Will this course  teach me how to use a chainsaw?

Accepted Answer

No. If you have no chainsaw experience this course is not for you. You must have at least the City&Guilds level 2 Certificates of Competence in chainsaw maintenance  and  crosscutting (0039-20),  and felling small trees up to 380mm.(0039-21),or the NPTC equivalents,  CS 30/31.

Will DRST provide the PPE?

Accepted Answer

No, you must provide your own chainsaw PPE. You will only be allowed to use the chainsaws if you are wearing the correct PPE.
