Audience/level of expertise: It assumes a knowledge of the basics of the language (i.e. lists, dictionaries, loops, strings, conditionals as taught in Beginning Python)

This workshop will teach you how to make effective use of Python for everyday tasks. It assumes a knowledge of the basics of the language (i.e. lists, dictionaries, loops, strings, conditionals as taught in Beginning Python) and builds on them to show how to use the various tools that Python provides. It will teach how to write your own functions and how they fit in with the wider Python ecosystem.
