About this event

These sessions will focus on improving your confidence in transitions, turns and backwards skating, and building your core jam skate skill set. This will be an intermediate series, not quite as challenging as the Flow Class, to help you increase your confidence and refine your skating. You should already have some techniques for skating forwards, backwards, turning, transitioning and stopping, either having taken a Foundations course with me or another club or instructor.

Topics we will cover include:

  • Smoothing out transitions
  • Backwards skating variations
  • Core jam skate moves and principles
  • Turns and Spins
  • Fun and creative routines

Each session is 1 hour 15 minutes in a great indoor space with a very smooth floor.

For more info on these sessions, check out the product page on my website: Intermediate class product page

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Please also wear clothes that you are comfortable skating in and allow freedom of movement.

Where is the skate space in Decathlon

We’re located on the First floor of the Decathlon store. You can use the escalators or get a lift to the first floor. The skating space is the biggest space in the middle of the floor. If you need assistance, please ask a staff member at the door or the customer service desk.

Can you provide roller skates for the lessons?

Unfortunately, I don't have any skates to provide, so you’ll need to bring your own to participate.

Do you do other days and times?

For a complete list of current classes and workshops, check out my website: mellowmoves.com

Do I need protective gear?

You are advised to wear protective gear, Such as knee and elbow guards, at a minimum. And additional padding if you want further protection and to reduce any impact if you fall. We do not supply protective gear so you will need to bring your own.
