We are pleased to announce the University of Liverpool Management School Econometrics Workshop, taking place in person on 6-7 May 2025. Hosted by the Management School’s Economics Group, this workshop will feature keynote speakers:

James Duffy - Associate Professor, Economics Oxford University

Emmanuel Guere – Professor, Queen Mary University of London

This workshop aims to bring together leading experts and emerging researchers in the field to discuss recent advances, challenges and solutions related to identification and misspecification—a critical problem in applied econometric research.

The workshop will target researchers, PhD students, and practitioners in the field of
applied econometrics.

Here is a summary of the objectives of the workshop :
1. To explore the theoretical underpinnings of ‘’identification and misspecification’’ in
econometrics.

2. To discuss empirical methods and tools available for detecting and correcting
misspecification.

3. To facilitate collaboration and networking among researchers at different career stages
