Overview of the conference

With an estimated 15% of the world's population being adherents to the Hindu faith there is good reason to examine this world religion from an academic perspective. Similarly, philosophy, the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality and existence is a laudable pursuit. Hence, this conference aims to play a positive and purposeful role in fostering greater understanding and enlightenment.

The conference seeks to provide an authoritative platform for leading academics, religious scholars and practitioners, and those desirous to learn about Hindu theology and the way in which thinkers down the ages have wrestled with the fundamentals of human existence. The conference addresses the need for critical discussion on issues appertaining to the Hindu faith, its development, core tenets and teachings, and various developments and manifestations. Equally, this is a scholarly platform for those seeking to offer fresh analysis and discussion that advances the appreciation and understanding of various schools of philosophical thought. The conference seeks to raise awareness and enable participants to examine the relevance and the teachings of Hinduism to the modern world in relation to management, philosophy as well as to scholars and laypeople alike.

The primary objective of the conference is to examine and elucidate the teachings of Hinduism and its relation to our everyday life. It also aims to explore the totality and uniqueness of Bhagavad Gita from the perspective of spiritual and metaphysical philosophies in order to share the prehistoric wisdom of the Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, and the practical means for spiritual evolution and contentment, empowering individuals to become positive contributors to humanity.

The aim of the conference is to bring together, diverse Hindu spiritual representatives, distinguished scholars, researchers, professionals, authorities, devotees and sceptics, and alike from across the globe to shed light on a wealth of issues that include aspects of Hinduism and Hindu philosophy. It will engage eminent scholars, philosophers, as well as respected academics to deliver and expound on their interpretations, theories and views in the form of lectures on various aspects of Hinduism and Philosophy
