INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON “EUROPEAN STUDIES: LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES”
The international conference on “European Studies: Language, Culture and International Studies”, organized by the initiation of the Department of European Studies, the Division of Humanities, the School of Arts and Sciences, the National University of Mongolia and in collaboration with the Institute of International Relations, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, will be held at 10 a.m., on February 8th, 2017 in the Round Hall of the National University of Mongolia, Building №1.
The Objective of the Conference
The main objective of this international conference is to focus on the world theoretical and methodological trends in the field of linguistics, translation, international studies, area studies and foreign language education, to implement new advancements, to exchange information. Furthermore, it is to discuss our research findings, to initiate and develop co-operative research work in collaboration with the local and international, educational and research institutions engaged in the language, literature, history, culture, education, society, economics and politics of European countries.

Call for Papers
Abstracts will be published in the presentation brochure prior to the conference. Papers will be published fully in the research journal named “European Studies: Language, Culture and International Studies” after the conference. Therefore, the presenter is obliged to submit the final paper in terms of the content and technical specifications on behalf of the invited institution.
1. Papers should consist of key words, abstracts and main parts
ü 5-10 keywords
ü Written either in the Mongolian language or in the English language
ü 250-400 words
ü Font: Times New Roman
ü Font Size: 12
ü Line Spacing: 1.5
ü The topic, full name of the author, degree, occupation, contact telephone number and e-mail address should be written at the beginning of the paper.
ü Should be written in the Mongolian, Russian, English and other languages with the use of MS Word template
ü Should be given in the Microsoft PowerPoint programme /in the Mongolian and English languages/ prior to the oral presentation.
ü Should contain a brief abstract, 5-10 keywords, an introduction, a main body, pictures, charts, a conclusion and a reference.
ü Font: Times New Roman
ü Font Size: 12
ü Line spacing: Single
ü Indent: 5 spaces
ü Paper length: Should be around 5 to 10 pages long in the format of A4
ü The format of JPG and TIFF for pictures and Microsoft Excel programme for diagrams should be used.
The Content of the Paper
The paper should be based on the theoretical and empirical levels of the following fields.
ü Linguistics: the theory and the trend of modern linguistics, the research of the field and interdisciplinary
ü Foreign language translation: the theory, the principle and the type of translation, the critical review of translation
ü International relations and area studies: the inter-cultural relation, international relations, the co-operation, the urgent issue of the field
ü Language education: the theoretical and methodological issue on the language acquisition
