International Day of Action for Rivers Clean-up

Join the Welsh Dee Trust as we work towards a clean River Dee with a litter pick on the riverbank at Eccleston, Chester.
About this event
Welsh Dee Trust are organising regular clean ups and litter picks to help keep the river clear of plastic and other rubbish.
This litter pick will involve 4 miles (2 hours) of walking as we will be walking from the Eccleston Ferry car park north along the public right of way to the edge of Chester Meadows. Therefore you will need to be comfortable walking 4 miles.
Please volunteer if you would like to help clean up the bank-side and feel confident complying with the provisions below. Numbers are limited to 10 for this event.
REGISTRATION VIA EVENTBRITE IS REQUIRED.
You must be symptom-free and have no recent contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19. If you feel unwell do not participate. Physical distancing will be exercised at this event.
After registration, you will be emailed a Risk Assessment PDF file. Please read this prior to the clean up.
Litter pickers, bags, hoops, gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided. Please bring other items yourself as follows:
1) Sturdy footwear for walking on uneven terrain
2) Your own drink and snacks
3) Raincoat, hat etc depending on weather
4) Personal medication you may need
Please also note the following:
1) No toilets easily accessible
Please meet at the Eccleston Ferry car park.
