About this event

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) brings a global community together to remember friends and family lost to overdose, and to raise awareness of evidence-based prevention tools.

5,448 people lost their lives to a drug related death in England and Wales in 2023. Every death represents a life cut short and a loved one lost.

For IOAD this year LRP Boston are hosting a drop in event, inviting people into our hub to learn more about overdose awareness and naloxone.

Naloxone is a life saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Any one can carry naloxone for the purpose of saving a life, so come and get your free kit from us on 29th August!

You can drop in any time from 10am-12pm or 2-3pm. Let us know if you are going to drop in by booking onto the event.
