Event description

Description

ISAE is the leading professional association for people interested in the behaviour and welfare of confined or domesticated animals, including companion, farm, zoo and managed wild animal species. The 2018 UK/Ireland regional meeting of the ISAE will be held in the UK at the Langford campus of the University of Bristol on the 7th of February 2018. Attendance at the meeting is a unique networking opportunity for academics, industry representatives, and anyone with a professional interest in animal behaviour and welfare, and will showcase the most up to date applied animal behaviour research in Ireland and the UK.

An informal get-together is planned for the evening of the 6th of February before the one-day meeting on the 7th. Please note if you are attending the meal please buy a ticket for the meal in addition to your appropriate meeting ticket.

The meeting will be of especial interest to:

  • Researchers and lecturers working in the area of animal behaviour and welfare
  • Individuals and organisations involved in public policy formation and development
  • Agricultural and animal care advisors
  • Industry personnel who are involved in developing tools to modify and/or record animal behaviour
  • Postgraduate students (we especially would like to provide young researchers with an opportunity to present their work)
  • Undergraduate students with an interest in animal behaviour
  • Representatives from animal welfare organisations
