Come and visit with us and other international students one of the most famous cities in England. Stuart, one of our volunteers, will give us a free tour of the city.
This is what you need to know:
- you need to buy your own train ticket in advance before the day we travel. The ticket you need is Norwich to Cambridge off-peak Day Return. You can buy it online at thetrainline.com or go to the station. The price is £24.70 but there are some discounts for students or groups of friends.
- you'll need to bring your own packed lunch. Cambridge is incredibly popular and on Saturdays is almost impossible to get a seat in a restaurant or coffee shop. Instead, we will have a picnic (outdoors if the weather is good, indoors if it's raining) So bring your lunch and don't go hungry :)
- wear comfortable shoes for walking and warm clothes for changeable weather. Autumn is UK means you could get sunshine and heavy rains in the same day! Be prepared
- Arrive to Norwich Railway Station on Saturday 18th at 9.30am the latest so we can get in the train together. Remember: you will need to buy your ticket before to avoid queues in the station!
- The tour would finish around 3pm. After that, you can choose to stay in Cambridge longer or come back to Norwich. There will be trains every hour
