The Gambia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Employers’ Association (GCCI) is pleased to inform you that the 11th edition of Trade Fair Gambia International (TFGI) will be held from 15th – 30th April 2017. Our theme: Connecting Businesses, Creating Opportunities” reflects our mandate as we celebrate our Golden Jubilee as the “Voice of Gambian Business” and is especially apt to broaden and solidify our regional integration for the benefit of our sister countries and respective Chamber members.
The GCCI, as the ‘Voice of Business’ was founded in 1967, as a non-profit member driven organization but with similar objectives to the KCCIA to facilitate business development, promote trade, expand markets and advance the interests of Gambia business nationally and regionally (or internationally). We also provide business development and trade enquiry service to companies with trade and investment interests in Gambia. Furthermore, we provides opportunities for businesses to be informed by as well as be exposed to the ideas of successful leaders. It is recognised as an authoritative Employers Association and assist members with labour relation matters, represent members at tripartite negotiations with Government and Trade Unions.
Our members broadcast their business activities and access one another through our monthly newsletters, member information bulletins, online business directory and Quarterly E-magazine. The GCCI currently has over
700 member companies and is a member of the World Chambers Federation (ICC), the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI), the Federation of West African Employers Association (FWAEA/FOPAO) and Pan-African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PACCI) and Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) amongst others.
TFGI is the leading business exhibition event in The Gambia and it seeks to create an avenue for businesses to sell, partner with and invest in viable SMEs from various sectors as well as industries ranging from Information Technology, Real Estate, Construction, Electronics, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Import/Export, Banking and many more. The Fair also provides a platform to identify and explore business opportunities between Gambian and
international businesses around the world in addition to dedicated days for business to business meetings and forums on chosen sectors in partnership with major stakeholders in the Private Sector, Government, NGOs, Projects from World Bank and African Development Bank (ADB) etc. and ensure the presence of large numbers of buyers during the Fair days for the satisfaction of exhibitors and to forge fruitful business partnerships.
