About this event

The Women in Engineering Network (WiN) is hosting an event to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day on Tuesday 20th June 2023, 13:00-15:30 in the College Main Entrance Hall. The event is open to all staff and students and we very much hope that you will be able to join us in celebrating the work of our fantastic female engineers!

The event will comprise of a talk from some of our most successful female academics who will be sharing insights about their research and career journeys, followed by Q&A facilitated by Professor Julie McCann - Faculty Ambassador for Women and Vice-Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Engineering. The speakers include: Professor Mary Ryan - Vice-Provost (Research and Enterprise), Professor Tina van De Flierdt - Head of the Department of Earth Science and Engineering, Professor Sandrine E M Heutz - Head of the Department of Materials, and Professor Rylie A Green - Head of the Department of Bioengineering

Following the talk, you are also invited to join us for nibbles, refreshments and cake, alongside a poster exhibition highlighting the exciting research that is being undertaken by our community of female engineers.
