International Women's Day #BalanceForBetter Breakfast 2019
Event Information
Description
Join us for International Women's Day #BalanceFor Better Breakfast 2019 in Newcastle!
#IWD19_NCL
Let's build a gender-balanced and diverse world!
Balance is not a women's issue, it's a business issue. The race is on for the gender-balanced boardroom, government, media coverage, employees, in wealth, sports coverage ...the list goes on.
Gender balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive. Collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender-balanced world is key. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender balance.
While International Women’s Day is about celebrating women, we will also be celebrating Diversity and Inclusion. Diversity includes race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs and political beliefs. We know Newcastle is not only a great place to live and work, we also want to share how diverse and inclusive it is and how collectively, we can strive to be even more diverse, inclusive and become more gender balanced in business.
