International Women’s Day Friday 7th March 2014
Bristol's link in the global campaign Join Me On The Bridge
9-11am The Avon Gorge Hotel, Sion Place, Clifton, Bristol BS8 4LD
Women Outside The Box are organising their third Bristol100 meet-up to celebrate International Women’s Day in Bristol.
We will be collecting for Women for Women International www.womenforwomen.org.uk
As well as supporting Women for Women International we will also be promoting Bristol chariety Deki. Deki aims to empower people living in poverty to create sustainable livelihoods by providing access to ethical microloans and training.
Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. We're changing the world one woman at a time.
We want to sponsor a woman to attend a one year training and support programme while she sets up her own business in an area where infrastructure, peace and family life desperately need to be re-instated.
Come along and meet 100 other Bristol business women who care.
9am Breakfast Tea, coffee and croissants. Networking in Avon Gorge Hotel main functions room
10am Photocall on the terrace overlooking Clifton Suspension Bridge. Press.
11am End of the networking event.
Parking: arrive early to find onstreet free parking. Once the shops open in Clifton things get busy.
Last year we got our full 150 business women as promised. Let’s get 200 this year.
If you represent a company, a network, a charity or a group why not bring a banner or tee-shirts?
As last year we encourage you to wear a little something PINK so the photos ‘hang together’ – not compulsory if you loathe that colour! We’ll post the photos and the video on Women Outside The Box fb page, LinkedIn group and on the website. And we’ll send them around the world via Women For Women International. So be sure to check their site in the following days for all the other JoinMeontheBridge videos.
In 2013 we had lots of local press throughout the day, so be ready. Whether you are working in the corporate world or running your own show - let's hear your personal journey.
See you for breakfast - coffee, tea, croissants - with my collecting bucket!
