International Women's Day: Celebrating the achievements, diversity and unity of women across Leicester and Leicestershire

Come and join us in celebrating the strengths, creativity and wit of women of women across Leicestershire

  • Councillor Elaine Pantling celebrating the work of local suffragette Alice Hawkins and on women in politics and as activists

  • Ulrike Kubbatta, Senior Lecturer in Film and Media Practice at DMU on shaping the powerful woman: transformation and documentary storytelling

  • Professor Julie Fish, Director of Centre for LGBT Research and Chair in Social Work and Health Inequalities at DMU on LBTQ women's activism in everyday life

  • Zinthiya Ganeshpanchan, Founder and CEO of Zinthiya Trust on challenging bounadries and barriers for BAME women's empowerment
