Join us for this year’s International Women’s Day event at The University of Gloucestershire on 8th March 2022
About this event
The University of Gloucestershire (UoG) is hosting an International Women’s Day (IWD) event on the 8th March 2022. The event is free although tickets will be limited so please do book early to secure your seat for the Key Note Presentation and Panel talk.
The event opens at 10am with coffee & pastries with thanks to the Equality Team. Throughout the day the Atrium in the Business school will contain displays from health, charities and contributions from the University’s art and illustration students. There will also be information from University of Gloucestershire Student’s and Health and Support Services.
At 11am University of Gloucestershire students offer a key note presentation on the International Women's day theme ‘Choose to Challenge’. This is followed at 11.15am by a Panel of speakers and a Q&A session.
Speakers will include
• Althia Lyn, Joint Co-Chair of Black Workers’ Network
• Coral Boston, NHS Equality Diversity and inclusion Lead.
• Deborah Lee, Gloucestershire NHS Chief Executive.
• Louise Livesey , Senior Lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire.
At 12.30 Lunch will be provided in the Business School Atrium, with thanks to the Equality Team for supporting this event.
The main event will finish at 2pm, with networking opportunities until 3pm.
This is a truly celebratory and inclusive event, with plenty of opportunity to enjoy food, learn, see old friends and meet new people.
