Event Details

The National Association of Nigerian Communities (NANC) are holding its 1st National Event in celebration of International Women's Day on the 10th, March, 2018, from 12:00-17:00pm, in Milton Keynes. NANC is an organisation that has been in existence since the 1970s. NANC presently exists as a full welfare organisation. The women in this organisation have seen the need to embark on #Press for Progress in regards to the crucial needs of most of women at large. This inspirational event, At Fishermead Trinity Centre MK6 2AL. Will see the community of Milton Keynes and the rest of the world coming together standing for Inclusiveness for all, because we believe that together we will achieve more #Press for Progress.

We will be Celebrating women's achievements on the day; to be up for nomination or to nominate someone to be awarded on that day please send your request to for a Nominee Award Form. Deadline 1st March 2018 All Women who will be awarded will notified on the 7th March 2018 and it will be announced on our Facebook events page:

  • Miss Lilian Martins (Host): History behind IWD & 100 Years Celebration
  • Mayor and Mayoress of Milton Keynes and other Dignitaries: Speech and Awards

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No minimum age requirement.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is Parking at the Venue as well as around the Venue. Parking is Free.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Preferably yes but if you forget no worries will check-in online.

 Can I update my registration information?

Yes, sure you can we understand that plans and people attending may change so please feel free to do so.

 Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

That is fine this event is for everyone. Where possible please just drop us a message or change it online if the name on the list and person attending does not match (Thank You).

A mother of two, a teacher accross key stages 1 and 2. She is also a councellor, psycotherapist, motivational speaker, Women Development Officer for NANC UK. She is the CEO and founder of Women's hope-Forum (WHF). This is a forum where women can freely discuss a number of issues and recieve practical solutions to matters affecting them. WHF is a place for real Women, real talk, about Real life issues. Radio presenter Life Matters with Lilian.
