International Women's Day talk: Becoming
Event Information
About this Event
This discussion forms part of the public programme for our current exhibition: Transitions created in collaboration with the Mother and Baby Unit at Bethlem Royal Hospital.
Artists Esther Maxwell-Orumbie and Sarah Carpenter will share their work and journeys in becoming artists in this informal discussion for International Women’s Day 2020. Joining them will be service users from the Mother and Baby Unit, Occupational Therapist Jenny Shaieb and Dr Trudi Seneviratne OBE Consultant Adult & Perinatal Psychiatrist to discuss ideas and experiences of becoming and how we cope with transitions.
The discussion will take place in the Bethlem Gallery's studio space which is fully wheelchair accessible. This is a relaxed event where anyone who needs to move around has the freedom to do so as well as leave the discussion and rejoin at a later point. Babies are welcome and we have changing facilities in the building
