MCR Sew Social will be hosting their upcoming online exhibition for womxn artists and textile makers based in Greater Manchester in celebration of International Women’s Day.

MCR Sew Social was established in 2018 and is organised by textile artists Rowan Bridgwood and Louisa Hammond. A monthly gathering of textile and fibre artists who meet in Greater Manchester, MCR Sew Social’s ambition is to create a community of makers, bringing people together to create socially to enhance a sense of well-being.

MCR Sew Social are passionate about showcasing textile work as the artform it is and International Women's Day is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the collective voices of our local womxn artists.

This event has been supported with a grant from Manchester City Council.
