Interpreting in Human Rights Settings

London Metropolitan University is organising a series of 6 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events, relating to Interpreting and Translation. This event is the first one of the series.
Interpreting, Translation and Human Rights studies students are meeting with professionals in their respective fields to exchange their experiences, skills and reflection on their professions.
They will work around the following themes:

The event will be led by Danielle D’Hayer, Associate Professor Interpreting Studies, Course Leader MA Interpreting and MA Conference Interpreting, London Metropolitan University.
The event will include short presentations, debates in small groups, case studies and role play with interpreters.
All participants, regardless of ticket type, are requested to register prior to attendance.
Certificates of attendance will be provided to participants who are registered and attended the whole event.

We offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in translation and interpreting and provide professional development and consultancy services to individuals and organisations in the UK and overseas in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In addition, short courses and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) take place throughout the year.
London Metropolitan University offers an extensive range of languages resources, including multilingual documents, specialised dictionaries and translation-specific software. It has invested heavily in a state-of-the-art interpreting suite, situated in Moorgate, City of London.
