Join us at the second Interprofessional Masterclass for 2019-20 to discuss the pros and cons of compulsory vaccination

About this Event

"Fighting for Immunity: The Pros and Cons of Compulsory Vaccination"

This masterclass will be focused on discussing the benefits and potential pitfalls of compulsory vaccination.

During the first half of the masterclass, from 5.30pm-6.30pm, speakers across various fields will present their research and share their expertise on compulsory vaccination. From 7.00pm-8.00pm there will be an informal discussion with the speakers consisting of questions and participation from attendees.

Speakers and topics:

  • Dr Karl Wooldridge - Vaccinating against Meningitis
  • Dr Janet Daly - Viral Pandemics of Veterinary and Human interest
  • Kimberley Sonnex - The Ethics of Compulsory Vaccination

The Masterclass will be held in LT3 (UoN Medical School, Floor A) from 5:30pm - 8:00pm, with a break for discussion over food and refreshments from 6.30pm-7.00pm.

This event is free and open to all students, staff and members of the public. Places are limited so please book in advance.
