Rambert School and Imperial College London MSk Lab invite you to a 1-day Collaborative Symposium event exploring the intersections between dance and science with the aim to bring dance, dance science and medical science practitioners and communities together in dialogue and knowledge exchange.
We aim to facilitate critical dialogue and encourage the cross-pollination of disciplinary knowledges from the diverse fields of dance practice, dance science, embodied and artistic research, medical science and dance pedagogy.
Interdisciplinary approaches in research offer us an enriching opportunity to learn from each other and challenge the epistemological hierarchies between scientific and artistic practices.
Our principal objective for the event is to bring the dance and science communities together in dialogue and to co-create a research agenda that serves both artistic and scientific goals.
The 1-day event will be hosted at the MSk Lab at Imperial College and will include:
