The course is designed specifically for intervenors or those assigned to work in a 1:1 situation with a congenitally deafblind / multi-sensory impaired child or adult.
The course will include teaching, discussion, DVD, tutorials and practical workshops.
Course content includes:
Course aim: To provide participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to carry out their role as an intervenor
Course time: 9.30am to 4pm
Course duration: Five days
Accreditation option: Together with the University of Northampton, Sense can now offer a qualification as part of the Intervenor training. Participants can opt for accreditation worth 20 CATS (Credit and Accumulation Transfer Scheme) points at Level 4. You can use your 20 CATS points towards certificates, diplomas and degrees, recognised by universities across the UK and also towards HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) status.
